CentenniAle Tour Schedule

We have a great Dog Days CentenniAle lined up with a relaxed but full schedule, lovely places to dance and wonderful people to dance with. We are marking the occasion of our 105th anniversary (in dog years; 1985-2000) so we plan to have an especially good time.

The driving directions are provided here for those who would like a preview of where we will be going. Copies will be provided to all of the drivers at the Ale.

Registration

Teams should now have sent their list of dancers, musicians, and guests to Ale Czar, David Smukler, by now. If not, please email David at Contact Form.

Check-in starts any time after 5:00 on Friday, July 7. Late check-in will be from 8:00 to 9:00 am on Saturday. The tours will leave camp at 9:30 am.

Please park along Rumsey Road. We need to keep Peter's driveway clear.

Friday Night Contra Dance

For teams arriving on Friday night, we are hooking in with the regular Friday night contradance in Ithaca. This is not an official part of the Ale, but many of the Hounds will be attending and the contradance organizer, Ted Crane, is a former morris dancer and sympathetic to the cause. The contra goes from 8-11pm and is at the Montessori School on King St. Feel free to join us! The caller is Vivien Rose and the band is Tributary.

Here are some (untested) directions to the contradance. See also Ted's web site <http://www.tedcrane.com/TCCD/> for additional maps.

List of Performers

Our roster includes ten teams of performers. (See also the photo page.)

Dog Days CentenniAle T-Shirt

Team member and graphic artist, Susan Galbraith, has designed a great t-shirt for this year's Ale. Check out the design and consider pre-ordering the shirt to pick it up at the Ale. This will help us plan our print run and will ensure that we have your size. A version of the design will also be available for sale at the Ale as an iron-on transfer.

Food Menus

Our meals are going to be lacto-ovo vegetarian for the most part. We are trying to accommodate people with food restrictions. We will supply spelt bread for those with wheat allergies and soy milk for those with dairy allergies or intolerance. If you are attending the Ale and have special dietary needs, email Food Czar Mike Miller <Contact Form> ASAP. We will try to accommodate your needs if we can.

See menu for more details.

Directions and Maps

The Ale camp is based, as in past years, at Peter Hoover's farm, just south-west of Trumansburg, NY.

Local Weather and Travel Information

OK, we can't control the weather and, judging by the variability of reporting, neither can the weather services. Never-the-less, here are a few links to local weather and travel information.

Invitations

We are at capacity for our camp site so we can no longer accept inquiries about attending this year's Ale. If you have any questions, contact our "Ale Invitation Czar", David Smukler / Contact Form.

The cost for the event is $35 for both days, $25 for Saturday only, and $17 for Sunday only. The cost includes all meals and beverages at camp. There will be some additional out of pocket costs for beer at pub stops.
