TOPA Word From Our Host

Peter Hoover is graciously providing almost complete run of his property. We will be camping on his property and erecting a large tent for meals and congregating in case of rain. We have use of the front porch for serving meals and snacks. Ale participants may use Peter's sauna in evening along with its woodstove-fired shower.

However, some restrictions do apply. Peter is asking the following of all Ale participants.

  1. No dogs or cats.
  2. Park along Rumsey Road. Please do not park in or block the driveway. Traffic along this road is very light so we can park along both sides of road in front of Peter's property.
  3. The interior of the house is off-limits, except:
    1. kitchen crew, who are encouraged to use the kitchen faciities for food preparation and associated tasks; and
    2. emergencies.

We had hoped to have some space available indoors for housing of Ale participants with special needs, but now find this will not be possible. In that light, we are providing a list of nearby B&Bs and other sources of accommodation information, and would encourage those who don't wish to camp on-site to make their reservations for these as soon as possible, as the Finger Lakes are a prominent tourist destination in the summertime.
